The Donkey Tale
(adapted from Aesop’s fable)
There once was a donkey, and he was a writer. He wrote pithy, cynical essay’s about the state of the barnyard.
There also were some crickets, also writers. They wrote about vampires, and love, and sex, and more vampires. Their writing was beautiful, and people liked it better than the donkey’s.
So the donkey decided he, too, would write about vampires, and love, and sex, and even more vampires.
Unfortunately, nobody liked the donkey’s take on vampires, or love, or sex, and they were disturbed by his fetish with even more vampires. The hounds bayed in sorrow when they heard his horrible tales. His sales went south.
And he starved to death.
Moral: Don’t be an Ass, be yourself.
